The Cathedral in the Rocks

I have been graced with a visitation from an old priest spirit, who has communicated to me a beautiful and powerful message. I will tell you, as close to what he said as I can recall, as this was a spirit-dream (when you have these dreams, you know you're dreaming, like a lucid dream you can do what you want, but the spirits take over when they have a message to give you, and this priest was one powerful spirit. You KNOW when you have a spirit communicating to you through dreams.. It's frighteningly real.)

Under hard rock, near a residential area, where a volcano once or more erupted and spread its lava out like hellish vomit - there is a beautiful holy place: the Cathedral in the rocks. It has so many domed roofs, some of them (if not all) have copper or bronze roofs - as I could see the green oxidized spreading on the rock.
"You cannot step here" he said to me, as I wanted to go and see the beautiful Cathedral- which completely took my breath away, "it's too fragile."
archaeologists will have a difficult time bringing this beautiful Cathedral out of the hard and old-settled volcanic rock. I'm pretty sure it's in Europe. The "Backyard" of Europe?
Anyways, the priest waits for the Cathedral to be uncovered. Let me tell you more about it.

Outside of the Cathedral, where the town used to be, cloistered steps lead up to a great place to observe the holy building. Ahead of me, which I think is in the East, is the Cathedral, to my left is a vast valley - perhaps a bay, if not a bay, then a grassy valley with only a thin layer of sod (1-3 feet), then below is the volcanic rock. There are craggy jutting rocks further to the left, and then the sky is a dark ominous rain-premonition. To my right there is a row of modern houses, build in the 1970's or 1980's - and they do not know about the massive Cathedral in the rocks. Behind me is a now wild path (which I'm on at during the dream), with vines, skinny trees, further behind me is a main road, further behind (west-ish) is a school or community center.

The Cathedral itself is rather like the Hagia Sophia, but without the minarets. It's less spacious too, and built as if tightly sucking in its gut. It also has more square walls than the Hagia Sophia, but the domed roofs are so reminiscent of it. It has the same arcade as the Basilica San Marco in Venice. (I am looking at architecture pictures to give you a better idea of what it looks like.) It was big, but wide - not thick, and not too tall.. but it seemed to be built on the side of a hill or next to a hill. Grey mostly, except for the bronze roof. There may have been some stones of the Cathedral that were a grey-beige, but that may have been the lighting. It wasn't in the middle of a huge city, that's for sure. I call it a Cathedral, because that's what it felt like, however, the priest never said that word.

This is a very holy place, a very spiritually important place, and when it is uncovered, there will be a religious revolution. There are treasures, texts, and bodies still in that building, and the priest is guarding it until good people find it. The first thing people will find are the green oxidized bronze/copper stains on the lava rock, then the remnants of the roof, then a small window, then the whole tower, then they will gain entrance to the main building.

Interesting. I'll be Googling this, seeing if I can find anything on this place. Maybe I can find a city that looks like the city I saw in the dream. I'll also try to find more information on the architecture of the building, and I will let you know more when I find more.

Oozer: Never Judge a Ghost by Its Cover - and a message for Tom Macreedy / Mcreedy

Oozer is a spirit that is quite disturbed. In life, he was an alcoholic, he smoked, and was surrounded in big-rigs.. which I think he's trying to communicate he either drove them, worked at a truck stop, worked on their engines/structure, and they were in his life much of the time. I think his father was a truck driver. Oozer wasn't a driver for too long, he didn't get the chance. Let me tell you more about him before I get to his death. When he was a child he was stout, which carried on until his death, he had dark hair, dark green eyes. He went to "county" school, I'm not sure what that means, but he tells me of his friend Tom Mcreedy or Macreedy - they both had blue lunch boxes and that's how they became friends. He hopes that Tom knows how much their friendship meant. In high school he was an outcast for most of it, as he spent most of his time walking in the woods by his "rusty" home. He did fairly well until he was 16, at which time things started to go downhill. I never see his mother in any of the communication. But I do see a father with large comforting hands, with a big heart. Oozer became an alcoholic shortly after, he doesn't seem to want to say how or why, but it wasn't his father's fault and he wants to communicate that firmly. He wasn't a sleazy person, he also wanted to communicate that. He liked science, that was his favorite course, he was smart, he was loyal, and he was trust worthy. The alcohol was a way for him to fill a very large gap in his life - I never saw a woman in his life, and he never spoke of one. Women weren't attracted to him, he sweat a lot, he smelled funny, he had a weird way of communicating.. maybe stuttering, maybe severe dyslexia.. personally, I don't think it's the women that didn't like him, I think that he didn't like himself and projected that on the women. I told him that, and he seemed touched, but still.. he knew that I was slightly disgusted, for the same reason he calls himself Oozer.

Why's he called Oozer? He gave himself this name after his death. His death was hot, and he sweat so much. It was as if he was in a furnace. His boots melted, steel toe. His sweat became skin (this is what he remembers, but, as I am going to post later, hopefully soon: spirits perceive their deaths differently than what actually happened). Point is, this has left him still traumatized by the death, and coupled with his self-conscious fear of being too sweaty, his afterlife projection (although he swears he wasn't aware of it) is rather disturbing. His skin looks like wax left in the hot sun for a little too long to be firm, but not long enough to be liquid. His eyes are the same way. His body hair was mostly melted away, but there is still a sooty shadow of hair on his head. His lips are melted into a fishy mouth, and his teeth are sooty black.

Apart from his ghastly appearance, no not ghastly.. shocking... he is a nice spirit. He is happier now that he can wander around like he used to in life - in the woods, yet there is still something bothering him enough to keep his "ugly" form. When spirits are perfectly OK, they usually look normal, unless they are trying to convey something. For example, if they show themselves as old and grey, they may be trying to communicate to someone they knew when they were older.. if they look young, they can be trying to communicate to someone they knew when they were younger.

The point I'm mainly trying to get through is this: ghosts, on the surface, can look very frightening. I've had many nights with the reading light kept on, or even several lights on because I'm so terrified.. but those spirits are different. Spirits that make you afraid, usually are trying to frighten you. Most of the time they can't do anything to you, they'll just freak you out until they tire of it. Some spirits CAN do some damage, but that's another post. Some spirits LOOK frightening, but can be troubled, and need help. Or they are trying to tell you something. If a spirit is on fire when you see it, use common sense and be very careful around fire. It doesn't mean the spirit's trying to scare you, it might be trying to warn you! Some may look bad because that's how they feel, and they can't project themselves any other way.

Don't judge a spirit by how it looks, judge it by how it FEELS. If you feel frightened to your core all night and day, it's time to reconsider what you're doing and try to get away from that spirit. If it looks horrid, but feels friendly, it probably is. Although there are some puckish spirits out there that can trick you anyway. Ah, so many posts to write.

Oozer finally was pleased to get his story written, and he wanted to say to Tom Macreedy (or Tom Mcreedy, whatever spelling): "I'm doing fine, I'm with George, and you were right about Katie." So if you know Tom, let him know. He has a deep-thinker look about him and he's about 5"9.. wears sports jackets without ties. Has a blemish on his lower back, on the right side, which is itchy, and Oozer says to get it checked out because it's cancerous. He wears those golf-like hats, but doesn't play golf. And Oozer shows me a picture of a taxi... He loves Tom, in a nonsexual way, and is looking over him. He's Oozer's only living loved one, (but is most likely not a relative) as he is with several of his dead relatives now.

Sorry that I can't get Oozer's name :(

How Do Spirits Communicate?

Is it with words? Is it with feelings? Moreover, and the topic of this post: HOW do they communicate? Through energy, with extra-dimensional mouths, how? They aren't flesh and blood like us, so how can they communicate??

From what I gather from spirits, how they have the ability to communicate is as much a mystery to them, as it is to us. They know a little bit more about spirits than we do, but just like us - they have a lot to learn about their own bodies. They are amazed and confused by it as we are by our own physical bodies, and they continue to experiment with different ways to use them.

One spirit, Anna-Margaret - or Anna Margo (we never really cleared that up in our conversation), told me that she was able to manipulate energy on a very basic level. She compared it to playing on the harp and said: "each string on the harp of the mind of the person I was trying to talk with would trigger a certain image or thought" and she explained that it took her and her comrade "plenty of time" to figure out how to say "Hello", and not "Boo"... lol Her comrade was and still is, not as good as her in this harp playing.

Another spirit, Atma or Atman or Atmon (again, names are hard to hear sometimes), a 19th century accountant/clerk of an Indian trader, explained it in a different way. He said that the human mind was like a beach of pebbles, the pebbles being the same as the harp string in Anna-M's figurative speech, and each time a wave (in this metaphor, a human thought) would rearrange the pebbles - making it harder to communicate. He said that people like me, that can speak to the dead, had certain pebbles that were "glued" down, and very much different than the other pebbles... bigger, more vibrantly coloured, as if to say: "here I am, now come talk with me". He said each pebble triggered a reaction in the brain of the human, one pebble would convey greetings, the other would convey anger, the other would convey a boat, the other would convey a word. He said each mind's beach stretched as far as his eyes could see, and he often wandered for very long, trying to figure out how to press the right buttons to make his family hear him. When his immediate family died, and only his grandsons and grandaughters' generation lived, he began to spend more time experimenting on strangers, thus finding a psychic one day. He likened this finding to uncovering a beach of gold, because he could finally communicate with the living - something he'd been fascinated with since a few months after his death. Atman communicates often with the dead, finding it much easier, but prefers to contact the living.

As a last example, I have a lot more but don't wish to write a novel about this post (yet), Maki or Machhi or Mah-Chi was a spirit that compared communicating with the living with (figuratively) beating words on their skulls. She said that she'd often repeat the words she wanted them to hear, hundreds of times over before they would hear. Psychics, she said, could pick them up after a good fifty to twenty times, depending on the mindstate of that psychic. If the person she was trying to contact was constantly nervous and closed, regardless if they were mediums or not, she would sometimes have to say the words for days and even weeks. She explained her slight frustration, and sometimes her frustration and intense repeating of the words would cause the person headaches, irritability, and malaise, at which point she would stop and try again later, mostly when they were asleep.

Sleep is one way that spirits can communicate much more easily, most of the spirits I have communicated with agree on that. They wait until the person is between waking and deep sleep, and then "dive" into the human. They don't always have access to the dreams of the person, but about 75% of the time (roughly, from what I gather) they can become part of the dream. Often they take their own shape, but sometimes they communicate through symbols to get across a larger message... you know, a picture's worth a 1000 words.. well 3D moving dream symbols are worth a novel if you know how to access them.

Drugs can also open the doors for spirits, opening them wide and indiscriminately. I have seen many people haunted by a spirit they let in during a very intense drug experience, a spirit that just happened to be curious or cruel. One such spirit was Malcolm, who would often look for drugged teens in order to "borrow" their bodies. He wouldn't be able to force the person into doing anything, but he could "suggest" - like in hypnotism. He would fit into a person like a marble in a glove, but would still be able to feel a fraction of what that living person feels - and boy, did he like it! Spirits often miss the physical pleasures of this world, even though they can experience similar sensations on their plane of existence, it's just not the same. Sometimes it's better on the other side, much better, but sometimes this plane is overwhelmingly different, and some spirits crave that. Many cultures use(and have used) drugs just for this reasons: to let their ancestors guide them, to lend their bodies. Deep Vodun (and other religious) trance states can easily reach this gate-opening situation without drugs.. which is much wiser, as it has less side effects, and the person being "possessed" can expel the spirit much more readily. It can be dangerous to let stranger spirits into your body with drugs, as they can decide they want permanent residence.. well, until they start missing the pleasures of the Other Side.. which can take decades depending on how old the spirit is.

Do spirits have energy? Do they eat or do they siphon it from somewhere? They have energy, very slight energy I can describe to you as the most miniscule microfilament silk strand that dances around your skin when you communicate with the spirits. Spirits tell me different things, as is usually the case - although they do 100% agree on some things. Some spirits tell me that they get their energy from the Sun, some tell me they get energy from humans, some tell me they get their energy from something deeper - something cosmic that stretches beyond what we know. I think they just can't describe or understand it yet, as we don't understand what it outside our universe, and so they come up with things like the Sun feeds them, etc. But also, Sun is up to interpretation. Many spirits use the Tarot meaning of the Sun, the archetypal meaning, so they may be using symbolism instead of literal meaning. Some were poets when they lived, and are poets in death too - and must make their communications into works of art. Some have even told me that what I feel isn't' energy, but simply, "it is my being, it's is the universe's cloth" as one very bright spirit once told me.

So can they communicate with just anyone? Absolutely. To be clear, I would say that I have never met (and gotten to know) a person who hasn't been touched by a spirit. They may see the spirit as an apparition, they may see them in symbols out of the realm of coincidence, they may see them in dreams or waking vision dreams, they may have heard their voice in their head, or felt their hand on their shoulder... all these ways and more. Whether we believe in them or not, they are here, and they are many - but most importantly: they want to talk. They have so much to say, and not even half of them think it's unethical to communicate us. Some spirits will not communicate with the living, and only watch them, and help them covertly; these spirits have a believe that noninterference will teach us the most. Other spirits believe that their wisdom can make us even more learned before we pass over to the Other Side, and want to teach us to be the most informed - so that we are not as shocked as they were upon death.

So many mysterious things! We don't know exactly how they communicate with us, but the consensus seems to be that they have the ability to suggest, like a hypnotist, but with the added bonus of being invisible when they want to be. They cannot force anyone to do anything, unless they are mentally unstable.. then it is quite common.. but that is for another post.

Remember: any significant dreams you have are most likely touched by another power, so write them down!!!

Living Cats and Spirit Cats

Many times, during a reading, I will see deceased pets: cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, snakes, and even recently a pet turtle! By far, however, cats come through the most clearly. They wander around in their living owner's homes, keeping them company, causing mischeif, and defending the family and territory. Of course with cats, family IS territory!

Living Cats
Cats are very special, and as a medium/psychic, I get to see things that normal eyes can't see. Cats are here and they are also there. As most other animals can, cats can see spirits, sense emotions, sense the near future, as well as several other psychic abilities. But cats are a little different. They have a heightened awareness of psychic/spirit energy, they are higher up on the sensory list when it comes to creatures. They aren't the highest up, I can't make that claim, as I've not been around every single animal in the world, but they're sure up there.
Ghosts know this, as they can always sense who can see them. It's like when you have that feeling you're being watched, that intense feeling, kind of a stinging sensation you're being followed/watched. Some ghosts dislike cats (and other animals) for that reason, they don't like the invasion of being seen. Ghosts can sometimes become accustomed to not being seen, and some of them even dislike psychics/mediums/children for that reason.
Most spirits don't mind, they actually LIKE being seen, so they can sometimes hang out around cats, children, mediums, etc, a little too much! Especially during times of increased need for social contact - religious holidays, anniversaries, death day, birth day, etc - they will hang around more. During some readings, I sometimes ask families to put their cats away, as it disturbs a timid spirit we're trying to contact - but most of the time they're a welcomed addition.
Sometimes, I will see spirits taunting, playing with, or even talking to cats - making owners confused, amused, and sometimes frustrated. It always amuses me to see a lonely spirit getting solace from an equally lonely cat (when their families are at work).

Spirit Cats
Spirit Cats are a joy to see. I once had a reading where a girl was collecting spirit cats (dead cats), and during the reading I saw dozens of them around the house - romping and running and preening and watching. Another time I saw a elderly woman's three cats, who kept a close eye over her - and she felt them constantly, and she saw them knock over things (especially on people they didn't think treated her very well).
I have a spirit cat, which I am so lucky to have, that has helped me through many hard times, as well as has guided me and given me hints and tips. I love cats now, especially because of this spirit cat. It is a deceased cat that sometimes saunters around the room, sometimes I ask it to find something if I can't - or when I'm sad she'll sometimes sit on my lap and I can feel her claws dig in to my thighs. It doesn't hurt like normal claws, but tingles. I'm sure some of you have had this same experience, as I see these cats all the time, and have heard many stories from patrons about them.

More to come on this later.
