Lafleche Caves, Quebec, Second Visit: Little Girl Ghost, Two Boys, and Creepy Cretins.

June 6th, 2008: Finally I get some time to write this experience out, I've been busy with upcoming events and health problems.. and so I haven't had a good enough moment to start.
(Update on day of posting June 16th - Sorry about the delay there was lots going on for me, including my best friend getting married this month!!!)

First of all, I find second visits to a place of interesting spirits a more detailed experience. The spirits primarily know that you can see them truly, and they know that you're not going to misuse the information they give you. Although some spirits love it when you use their info for most unscrupulous pursuits, I just don't like bad Karma so I stay away from it. I suggest everyone do the same, but of course I'm not Grand Mom to the Universe.. lol.

The Cave is beautiful during Winter Months (yes it's been that long since I've had the notes and need to write this!). Icicles are giant, like walking sticks poking out of the sandy rock at your feet, and very spectacular are the condensation-covered bats huddling together in sleepy droves. You'll see pictures in a minute. I could see why some ghosts wish to stay there, every season brings a new magic to the park and cave. The only problem with ice is that it can create false orbs!! So I've only included the interesting orbs.

As Marc and Cornelie of Lafleche take us through the cave, I can hear whispers of children, groaning of a few morally bankrupt men, pleas from those who have died in such quick tragedy, near silent groups of touristic type ghosts commenting about the cave, and old spirits flowing from chamber to chamber. The first visit I was more focused on not falling (I'm a klutz), and I had no clue the place was haunted so I didn't meditate prior to coming at all. My brain needs to be focused to hear the "quieter" goings on, so to speak.

The Little Girl Ghost "Lor"

Wearing a dress over pants (cuffs are rolled up on the pants as they are much too long for her), rubber boots, a light coloured T-Shirt, messy blond hair, big adorable eyes, button nose, and lots and lots of big wide smiles, the Little Girl is my favorite of the ghosts I encountered here. I think she said her name was Lorrie or Lauren - a Lor name, due to her Lor nickname. I know, not very detailed a name, but sometimes I lack details I really want to grasp. It's like wanting to hold a wild bird, if you even move in too much earnest, it'll fly away. But I did get some rather unexpected details.

She showed me some jumping jacks in her right hand, and told me, "My Father made them." Now either he worked/works at a toy factory, or he just wanted to make the toy more precious by saying he made them. I don't think her mother and father are dead yet, as I didn't see them around her, and she gets a little sad when thinking of them.

Lor loves bats. She wants to protect them, and often cautioned me because my helmet was waay too close to a little baby bat or a small cluster of bats. The ceiling can be low in certain places, but still comfortable. She also loves the story of the porcupines as told by Marc - if you haven't been already, all the cavers turn their lights off for a little while as Marc tells a story.

In that same area, she sits on a bench next to me as my significant other and the cave experts to another area. She wanted me to herself, which reminds me of my nephews. Kids love to have undivided attention, and I could see that she was irritated by my attention being taken from all present. She also loved Marc and Cornelie's attention, as once in a while it appeared they were looking right at her. I'm not sure if they have a gift, as it's not for me to say (only the person with the Gift can tell you if they are or not) - but it really appeared as though they looked at her on a couple of occasions. I find that a great number of people do this - look at ghosts straight on but swear they couldn't see anything. This is a matter of great interest for me, and I wonder if people can see Them on another level, or rather sense.

Anyways, throughout my entire visit inside the cave, she was there - showing me where there were passages. The Guides nodded to me every time, ensuring me this was true - which of course made Lor really pleased. Also, and I'm not at moral liberty to say where, she said that there were "hidden goodies" that she didn't want the "bad men" to get. She wanted Marc to find them. She explained that they are treasures, to her, and really were precious to her personally. She continues to say that the secret passages is where she plays for hours, listening to echoes, finding patterns in the rock, communicating with the bats (she called it "telling stories" to and with the bats), and finding her treasures.

On a sad note, she explained, as she did the time before but in a less obvious way (I couldn't even see her the time before when I visited, just impressions) that she had died falling. She showed me how her ribs felt, her bones, crackling and there was so much pressure on her. She felt like a bunch of sticks under an elephant's foot. She does not like to climb stairs.

Lor, like any child who has died before the muddy waters of the loss of innocence, is a wonderful spirit with eternal optimism and a light as sweet and glowing as a sunrise on the perfect day. I can't express how wonderful it is to be in the company of Child Spirits. This is not, of course, a rule that cannot be broken. I have met many ghosts stripped of their innocence at a very young age, and they feel old and dusty way before their time. I will post about this later, for now we focus on the caves, otherwise I'll never be done this article. Lor is one of those Child Spirits that hasn't been broken emotionally, and that makes her friendly, darling, and open minded to anyone she comes across. So far she just doesn't like "Jacques" another spirit we will go onto in juxtaposition to Lor.

"Jacques"

Very dissimilar from Lor is a middle aged (in appearance only) spirit that threw a whole bunch of typical french names at me. Either his name is really Jean-Luc Jacques, or he was making fun of me, withholding his real name.. as many spirits know that irritates me. Why? Well I like to research into the lives of these spirits, and without a real name, it's very difficult. We will call him Jacques in this article, to perhaps assuage his Puckish nature.

He loves to scare the little girl, and enjoys it. All throughout the tour, he was trying to scare people around me - but to no avail. They couldn't see him! Frustrating for him of course. He tried to scare me a couple of times, and of course succeeded a couple of times.

Jacques has an uneven and pointed beard, with a messy mustache. His right shoulder is lower than the left, in a leaning posture. He has a hairy chest which is seen as his dirty shirt is unbuttoned a few buttons, he may have a wooden tooth or just a badly rotten tooth that appears the same colour as wood. He looks sleazy, baggy clothes, belly showing due to his short shirt and jacket.. perhaps torn (shirt). He's definitely a criminal, and very proud of it.

He walks with a limp, is a heavy smoker of weird brown cigarettes (maybe cigarillos?) and he has a distinctive sweaty smell. He feels as though the cave is his territory, as it was in life.

The word Chasseur comes up frequently when I see him, the French word for Hunter, however it may be a word that merely sound like Chasseur.

He has two Native American companions, both speak French well, English, and a language I don't understand - perhaps their native tongue. In live they used the cave as temporary storage of their stolen goods, but quickly moved it out when it was ready to be sold. He is most prominent near the Diving Area - where he shoves people a little, but to no avail other than a slight feeling of pressure. He's not what I would consider a dangerous ghost, just a little tiny bit of a bully. In life, however, he was dangerous: a fan of torture, extortion, murder.

(Addendum on June 2nd, 10:39pm) - After writing this, I began having some rather bad experiences. Bad, horrible emotions, that came out of no where. A shadowy figure. I retract my earlier words that this spirit isn't dangerous, he is dangerous and I will put a measure of care when speaking about this one. I also saw there is a "Voyageur" connection to him.

Native Boy

13-16 years old, this young man was crushed, suffocated, and although he was very prone to stupid risks, he was brave and had great love for his family. He was searching for something his sister either left, or wanted, near the cave. As he searched for the item, he fell into a little hole - just small enough for him to land almost at the bottom. He tried to climb, wiggle his way back up, but it was too tight, and lose stones threatened him. So he wriggled down, hoping there was a way out through this hole. He remembered learning something about water erosion and how it can bore holes through solid rock over time.. and so he sensed that there was a way out. As he continued to climb down, he heard more stones loosened and then a great crack. A large amount of stones, including a couple of big ones, crushed him into a horizontal part of that erosion hole. After only moments, he died - his body pushed into an unnatural shape. As he left his body and understood he was meeting his death - he felt awful that his sister's wish went unanswered. He felt awful for his family.

At first when I encountered him, I saw a squished body, much like the Lindow Man (a preserved human who was mummified by bog). "Alulu" I'm not sure what that means, but he says it whenever I see his body. I will Google it after I write this, as I don't want to colour this particular communication. Anyways, there was a marking on his left cheek - like a star (the Native young man, not the Lindow Man), his left foot bent completely out of shape, his right leg tucked in, right arm over his right leg, and his left arm behind his head - almost appearing like he was comfortably in sleep. His neck is visibly broken. Of course he feels no pain anymore, only the confusion of "where is my body?" as no one has found it. He may be mistaken about the actual location of his body, as I am told it is in a place where he could not have possibly gotten into.

The Two Friends

Two young boys, having fun, smiling, running around the cave just being boys. It's a glimpse into heaven - being able to play with your best buddy whenever you want, whatever you want, however you want! They died in a minivan crash nearby and during their many endless hours of exploring - found Lafleche Caves. They tend to stay close to the entrance and exit, and play - explore - and talk to one another. One has a fishing hat, and a fishing vest with many pockets (green vest, dark grey khaki hat) - he has a sharp featured face and the freshness of youth is strong in his features and skin. The other boy has curly hair, sometimes a similar hat as his friend, and a walking stick or perhaps a "weapon" in a game (it's a sturdy straight branch).

Black Cloud + Tourist Spirits

As you enter the final chamber of the caves, you go down a small flight of metal stairs. As I was climbing down I got a very sinister feeling and turned around: there was a massive black cloud coming towards me and my group. I wanted to leave the cave then and there. Marc, our guide, told us about a tire fire that had been lit - and so it made me wonder. Was this an apparition, as in a spirit, or was it just a snapshot of the past? I sensed no communication in this cloud other than a very distinct urge to get out.

Right after those aforementioned steps, I saw a group of tourists waiting for their photo to be taken. I am not sure if all the spirits mentioned in this article will stay here forever, or if some are merely passing by - like these tourist spirits.

Thus ends this article #2 on the caves. There's a lot more I'd like to write but I will save it for another article, as I really really want to post this. I saw some things that I'm afraid to write, and other things I think would be dangerous to write. Overall the place is safe, but also very populated with spirits - hence my second trip. If you don't want to see spirits, just be strong in that want and generally the mind's fail safes will click in and stop you from seeing things. If you wish to experience spirits, this is a great place to start. Open your mind, put aside your fears, and let the impressions roll over you without clasping onto them. Overall, I would advise that you respect the spirits here, as there is a spirit in there that definitely doesn't like to be taken lightly; I would advise that you enjoy the impressions you get and learn to open yourself to that other side of this fantastic universe.

Many thanks to the staff at Lafleche Caves, who were very welcoming, accommodating, and above all else - friends. :)

Till next time, and photos will be posted later on this article.

Postscript: I am still quite ill so please please please pardon me for taking soooo long to write back. Months seem to be a good estimate of how long it takes me, please don't take offense.

Coming up: Ghost Gatherings - why some spirits group together; Cornwall Historical Jail in Ontario; and much more.
